  1. hello melissa
this is carol, your mom's friend of many years. your mom told me today about the work you are doing and your blog. i love it. and i love the idea of repurposing discarded items and turning them into someone's new treasures. everyone benefits and it works for the environment. so good for you.
i still remember the day your mom and i went to our first thrift store when we were in college. (she bought a pair of riding jodhpurs. i don't remember if she ever wore them.) ever since, i think we both recognized the fun and excitement of giving old things a new life.
and your ideas are making everything even better, with special flair and creativity. (and great prices.) good luck. have fun. and congratulations, melissa.

    1. Hi Carol! So nice to hear from you! I have had so much fun decorating my own house with thrift store finds that I "tweak" with a new finish or detail to make it perfect for my space. When I'm out shopping, I am inspired by great pieces with potential that are not quite right for my space. It's fun to play with new ideas and then pass them along to others. I know you can relate since you make jewelry. I saw one of the necklaces that you created and it was beautiful! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement!
